Our "bus" back to Anchorage would be picking us up at 12:30. "Bus" because our bus ride was actually the back seat of a Saturn driven by Ron, the Bus Guy... a rather tall gentleman with long, stringy, mostly-white hair and beard. Nice enough 'guy,' who actually had 'buses,' but had only contracted that day to give two people a ride up from Anchorage and us back... a four hour ride for us; an eight hour day for him. Anyway... we went for a hike that morning. Saw a hand-size mushroom...
