"Prairie Dog. Heard them (and saw them) making barking sounds from their small dirt mounds all along the roads of Wyoming. I also witnessed an interesting behavior. I'm rolling along and a prairie dog is scurrying along the road with belly close to the ground. As I get closer, it suddenly stops with its body as prone as possible to the road until I pass. A reflex, no doubt, to approaching danger. It survived my approach, but not this prairie dog."
