Of course, graffiti is not relegated to the sides of boxcars. I have noticed, though, that boxcar graffiti is less likely to be defaced compared to graffiti seen on, say, building walls and fences. Instead, another artist or the casual observer might inscribe a critique, comment, or reaction to a work.
