Well-tended landscaping outside the temple. Outlines of animals can be seen etched in the grass within the circular stones representing the Incan circle of life: the condor, puma, and snake... the sky, earth, and the underworld. The condor is the only bird strong enough to fly up to the heavens and deliver messages to God; the puma has patience and strength; the snake travels to the underworld, and when it sheds its skin, is reborn, transformed.
