Explore Cuzco.

After breakfast we met with Freddy, who gave us a map of downtown Cusco to familiarize us with the walking tour we would take. Actually, it started with a short shuttle bus ride to another part of the city. We then started our walk with stops along the way to listen to Freddy's continuing stories and perspectives of Inca/Peruvian life and history.

We stopped at a worl-renowned silversmith shop that makes and sells silver-based jewelry. Exquisite stuff. Peggy bought a cool pendent. Other silver jewelry was also bought by other members of our tour group… that would have cost a lot more elsewhere. We also visited a church with large paintings done hundreds of years ago depicting religious themes from a Spanish point of view. According the posted adjacent labels, the painters were anonymous because, as Freddy explained it, the Spanish had talented indigenous people paint them, but did not want to give them credit for doing so.

Lunch was at the Incan Grill before having some free time to roam about downtown Cusco before returning to the hotel for the day.
