June 25: two more ferries, a suspension bridge and the Sea to Sky Highway
Some rain, some sunshine. Took a ferry from Saltery Bay to Earl's cove, and from Langdale to Horseshoe Bay in North Vancouver. The only way to drive the Sunshine Highway 101 requires taking these ferries. Each one was about 45 minutes.
The Capilano Suspension Bridge near North Vancouver (oldest local tourist attraction) was first built in 1889. It's 450 feet long and 230 feet above the Capilano River. Cool, but pricey with a $26.95 entry fee. Actually, I liked the Treetops Adventure better, 650 feet of suspended cable bridges between trees.
Heading inland to Alice Lake Provincial Park for the night....
