June 15: to Hendy Woods State Park, California
Uneventful for the most part.. except for perhaps the road construction encountered along much of the way. Highway 12 between Rio Vista and Fairfield has always been a narrow two-laner of opposing traffic. It's being widened with concrete barriers separating the road crews from the cars and trucks, the drivers of which must put two hands on the steering wheel to maintain a straight line lest they scrape off the barriers and/or veer into those driving in the opposite direction...
Followed Highway 12 through the world-reknowed wine country of northern California to head north on Interstate 101. Then exited northwest on 128 through the Anderson Valley to Hendy Woods State Park...
