Farther up the trail provides a panoramic view of Northeast Harbor. We had met an older gentleman, Jack McCloud, from Aberdeen, Scotland, with his two dogs the day before as we were hiking down from Penobscot Peak. One of the boats in the harbor was his. Jack recommended we visit the Thuya Gardens.
