Return to the United States.

After a wonderful farewell dinner at a restaurant in Skopje the night before, we headed back to the Hotel Stone Bridge to prepare for an "early" departure. Peggy, Barbara, and I had to be in front of the hotel at 2 AM to catch the shuttle to the airport for a 4:25 flight…

To Vienna, Austria… I hour 40 minutes… with a 3-hour layover. Thank you, Barbara, for finding me a decent cup of coffee. To Munich, Germany, at 9:25 AM.. their time… 1 hour… with a 6-hour layover. Flight time to San Francisco was 4:15 PM… again their time. 12 hours and 20 minutes later, flying over the North Pole, we landed in San Francisco… at 8:35 PM, SF time. Having to get through customs, we didn't get to leave the airport until 10 PM. Shuttle to the hotel… crash… hadn't slept in…

But, hey, what a trip. Lots of cool, old, and amazing things to see. Thank you, Vasillis (Basil), for making the trip a memorable one. Will remember you always. Oh, and Theofanis, you can drive, man. Thanx for letting me sit behind the wheel at the border. And to my tour compatriots… enjoy the pics to help you tell the stories… Vic
