The drinking horns are from the 15th, 16th, and 17th centuries. Some of the carved images on the horns include the infant Jesus, Adam and Eve at the Tree of Knowledge, and various monsters. The compass and sundial were probably brought to Iceland by foreign sailors, as evidenced by German and Spanish engravings on the lid. >>>
