| From the main road, you make a left and circle back around to drive down just under the tall bridge, which crosses over the Hakalau stream. At the bottom of the hill, cross another lower bridge (built in 1920) and follow the dirt road to here. I'm assuming the road continues to the other side of the stream... with a 4-wheel drive, or when the stream is not flowing over it. Anyway, follow the dirt road to the left, until you're standing under the huge framework of the bridge that is part of Highway 19 to and from Hilo. |
