A shrine/memorial to someone along the trail. Along the narrow, windy roads in the mountains of Greece, you see smaller, less elaborate ones. Kind of like what I call road memorials for people who died in an accident at that spot. There are two main differences, however. Shrine/memorials in Greece can also be for someone who survived a near fatality.
