| Off to one side of the outside picnic area was a curious game setup. It's called Aunt Sally and is fairly exclusive to the area. The goal is to throw a piece of wood at the object on the post and knock it off. Peggy did the research and discovered a gruesome origin. Originally, a chicken was hung by its feet and pieces of wood or rocks were thrown at it. The first one to kill the chicken got to bring it home for dinner. |
