Typical Egyptian grave containing the naturally-preserved body of a man with a collection of grave goods, from the Late Predynastic, about 3400 BC. The body and the objects are all authentic. The remarkable preservation of the body was caused by natural rapid drying through direct contact with the desert sand, an effect lost when the first coffins were introduced.
