| Inside the Jorvik Viking Center. This skeleton was found some distance from three others unearthed at the excavation site, dating from the mid-11th century. The skull and pelvis suggest this skeleton was female. A degenerative joint disease indicates she was around 46 years old. Other than that, archeologists determined that she was robustly built and about 5ft 2in tall. |
