We walked past the Ross Fountain. It was made of cast iron in France and was first shown at an exhibition in London in 1862. It was gifted to Edinburgh and was shipped in 122 pieces in 1869. It was fully restored in 2001. The figures were sculpted by Jean-Baptiste Klagmann.
