| The Palace of Holyrood House is the royal family's official residence in Scotland... that they use once a year. It is most famous, though, as the 16th century home of the ill-fated Mary, Queen of Scots, from 1561 to 1567. Photography was not allowed inside. Anyway, the highlight of the tour was Mary's bedchamber, which was connected by a secret stairway to her husband's bedchamber. |
