Another long driving day. According to Google, the drive from Penzance to Bath was 3 hours and 20 minutes. Not exactly. Apparently, Google doesn't take into consideration "Queues"… or as the signs along the side of the road said, "Queues Likely," with a picture of vehicles lined up behind each other… like commuter traffic backed up for miles during rush hours in the U.S. Essentially no different on the British isle. For whatever reason, we had to creep along on certain high traffic roads for miles. Anyway…

To start off the day, however, we drove the short distance to Land's End, the most westerly point of England. Very cool… reminded me of coastlines along Highway 1 in northern California. Windy and cool, seagulls, flowers growing among the windblown rocks jutting along the bluff edge, waves crashing against the base of seastacks of rocks out in the Atlantic Ocean, a lighthouse beacon beyond that, among other sights…

About mid-afternoon, we arrived in the city of Bath and managed (with a little help from some young locals who happened to be walking along the sidewalk where we had stopped in yet another attempt to navigate a city in England) to find the Wentworth House Bed and Breakfast. Securing our room and dropping off our bags, we headed into town to see what there was to see… like the navigation of a small lock system near the Avon River. And, of course, a pint and dinner at a local pub called "The Bear".
