| Edward Seymour. Earl of Hertford 1539-1621, nephew of Jane Seymour, third wife of Henry VIII. At his side, in a raised position because of her royal connection, is the effigy of his wife Lady Catherine Grey, sister of Lady Jane Grey who was Queen of England for nine days in 1553. The kneeling figures are their sons. The tomb was built in 1675. |
