Wild giant tortoises. Manzanillo Ranch is located in the highlands (higher elevation) of Santa Cruz Island. We were seeing so many tortoises because the rainy season hadn't started yet, prompting tortoises to migrate to the highlands where the grass and other foliage is greener. Likewise, during the rainy season they migrate closer to the coast. >>>
