During one of our bus rides between stops, Sofy talked at length (not all positive) about the current president of Ecuador, Rafael Correa. As per the current Constitution, the President can serve two four-year terms. Prior to that, the president could only serve one four-year term. The current President of Ecuador is Rafael Correa, first elected in 2006. Correa was re-elected to a second term in 2009, and to a third term in 2013. Not knowing Spanish that well, aside from picking up a few words, I would say these words painted on the side of a building are political in intent. |
