~The 'Drive' Back~

We arrived at Bruneau Dunes State Park late in the day... in time to see another cool sunset over the high deserts of southwestern Idaho. The park is the site of North America's highest single-structured sand dune which is approximately 470 feet (140 m) high. The following morning we hiked to the dunes, about a quarter of a mile from the campground. You're allowed to climb the dunes if you are so inclined (I was). There's also a small adjacent lake, where one can fish for bass and bluegill... or swim or float on in a non-motorized canoe or other similar craft.
