| I've climbed lots of mountain passes unofficially. With my camera ever at the ready, I've always been inclined to capture the moment by placing my bike next to the pass elevation sign and taking the picture. At an event like the Death Ride with thousands of colorful bicycle riders all around, it's not difficult to find someone to take a picture next to the sign with me included. These two pictures were taken by different people. I thought the above pic was too close... I wanted more background. So I grabbed another individual whom I instructed to stand farther back. The second pic was taken much to the different kinds of surprise of the gentlemen on either side of me.
