Before sunrise on April 9, we wheeled our luggage six blocks to the underground Metro system in Washington D.C. on our way to Dulles Airport in nearby Chantilly, VA. We had the system down by this time.. knowing that once the train stops and the doors open, you have 10 seconds sharp to get or off. We "knew" because when we first tried to catch a ride on the Metro back on April 3, Peggy took her time boarding the train when the sliding doors abruptly shut pinning her luggage. In the next few seconds I quickly began to pull from the outside while Peggy pushed from the inside. We freed the luggage, but left Peggy now pinned at the shoulders between the doors. Exert, pull and Peggy was back on the platform as the Metro train sped off.
