"Monekana," a bronze done in 2001 by Deborah Butterfield. When first walking up to this sculpture, it appeared to made of driftwood... and it was initially. After building this sculpture with actual driftwood, Ms Butterfield numbered each piece, took it apart and casted bronze replicas. She then welded the bronze parts back together.
