Had set the alarm for 4:30am in order to have the luggage outside the hotel door by 5:15 for pickup down to the lobby. Picked at a bland, prepared breakfast box lunch before following the luggage onto the shuttle to the Santiago airport by 6:30… to catch an international flight to Buenos Aires, Argentina, at 9:30 and arrived 11:30am… Buenos Aires time. Whew! 5th flight so far. We gathered our luggage at the revolving baggage claim, went through security, and took an hour-long shuttle to our hotel in downtown Buenos Aires. Once we settled in, Luis, our tour guide, took our tour group for a short downtown mid-afternoon walk around the busy city.

Not much sleep the night before, two flights in 24 hours… in the early evening, we picked up a small pizza and a salad at a food court inside the nearby Galerias Pacifico shopping mall, purchased a bottle of wine at a wine shop, had dinner in the hotel room, and turned in early.
