Pia Glacier - Glacier Alley - Magellan Strait

Pia Glacier is a very large, 1,100 tall tidal glacier… it’s called that because it slowly flows into the salt water. We took the zodiacs over to a nearby landfall to get a closer look from two different lookouts. The second of two planned excursions to a waterfall and another glacier cancelled because of high winds… captain’s call. Instead, we cruised through glacier alley and saw some amazing glaciers. A good number of passengers headed to the lounge on deck 5 and pulled up a chair and faced the windows watching the landscapes and glaciers go by. There was also an open bar, making the lounge a good place to hang out.
