Papa's Grub Recipe (for two people)
• Fill big pot with 1/4 water and put over high heat
• Cut and dice half of red onion, slice 2 zuchinis, a handful or so of mushrooms
• Pour generous amount of olive oil in large frying pan and turn on medium heat
• Throw in and toss diced red onion with 2 wooden spoons or something similar
• Plop in a pound or so of lean ground turkey, and break up mix with diced onion
• Little salt and pepper and generous amount of Cavenders, and mix some more
• Throw in and mix sliced zuchini and mushrooms
• When turkey is cooked through (no red, raw color left), turn off heat and let simmer
• With water in big pot boiling, throw in a package of rainbow-colored curly noodles
• When noodles are soft enough (but not too soft), drain and mix in pesto sauce
• Mix in frying pan ingredients
• With big scooping ladle, serve onto plate
• Throw on some grated parmesan cheese and eat
•• Of course, add more of above ingredients for more people... or if you're big eaters like my sons and me.
••• Makes for great leftovers... shoot, make a bunch with different ingredients and have it all week!
History: My mom used to call it just "Grub." As kids, my sons called me Papa. Hence...
