Nails, glass, other road debris, and warning strips are things I'm always on the lookout for. Discovered another road hazzard. Leaving Dubois, I suddenly felt the familiar 'fishtailing' effect when I'm getting a flat tire. Got off the bike and the tires were fine. As I'm picking up speed once again, I experienccd a severe fishtail causing me to lurch to the center line in an effort to maintain control. The hazzard is the tar substance used to cover cracks in the road. When it gets hot, it gets soft and creates a non-stable surface. So either avoid 'em or roll over 'em cross ways...
