Marina Dunes State Beach is located off Highway 1 north of Monterey. It's mostly sand (and wind), but if you look close enough, you can see some interesting things... like this jellyfish. About hand palm-size, I found it almost jewel-like, but quite alive with veins and air bubbles inside... and a bit eerie in its transluscent, sand pebble-magnifying way.
