July 6: And back to Modesto
In a continuing effort to stay off I-5, we followed bits of historic 99 out of Red Bluff. We then stopped at a Sacramento River Wildlife Refuge to go for a hike (above)... not the lush, green trails of other hikes we had done this trip. Continuing to follow the river on Highway 45, we stopped for lunch in Colusa. Shortly after continuing down the road, we happened on a cast of hawks...
