June 27: Ketchikan, AK
Unlike other passengers on the Pearl, I have relatives in Ketchikan. John is my cousin on my mom's side from the state of Ohio; his daughter, Kaileigh, is my second cousin and John's wife, Patti, is my cousin-in-law, I suppose. It was rainy and misty in Ketchikan, a state of weather quite common in my cousins' neck of the woods. But John and Kaileigh met Peggy and I at the Pearl and bought us a wonderful breakfast at an upscale eatery. Patti joined us shortly thereafter and we took a ride in their Volvo Cross Country to the end of the road...
