June 22: The Alaska Cruise, day 1
Just like at an airport, the security was tight: x-ray machines, metal detectors, passport checks... With over 2000 people on the cruise (not counting the crew compliment of over 1000), we got there early and boarded the big boat without a hitch, but had to hang out before getting our cabin. Big boat... with elevators, pools, lavish restaurants and stores... a veritable city afloat.
