June 14: Castle Crags to Crater Lake National Park

We had been to Castle Crags before and the views are still magnificent. Apparently we had missed it last time we passed through, but the Memorial Sculptures are worth the stop along Highway 97. White Pelicans... not the gray ones you see along the west coast, but the larger white ones. Oh, and we had been to Crater Lake before... had ridden a tandem around it, but we had not expected the added bonus of snow, which prevented anyone from driving around the lake, but the view...
