| June 12, 2006: Ebbetts Pass (8,732') had been open for a couple of weeks, so we decided to take the Fed over the precipitous road Highway 4 back to Modesto. The first significant lake on the west side of the pass is Mosquito Lake... I went by this lake again three weeks later and little was left of the ice and snow you see here. |
